Hand-Knotted Sarough Rug, 7′ 5″x10′ 5″, Code: 1603

A vintage Sarough with an all-over Mir-i-Boteh pattern – row on row of miniature boteh motifs worked in deep midnight navy across the whole field. Over the years the wool has developed a soft, lustrous patina that takes the edge off the dark ground.

Framing it are a series of borders, the main one in crimson with herati motifs and palmettes in dusty blue, soft ivory, and golden beige. At 7’5″ x 10’5″, it can anchor a formal living room, a distinguished study, or a master bedroom.

Hand-knotted in 100% natural fine wool on a cotton foundation. One of a kind.
