Bakhtiyari is one of the oldest and most well-known Persian clans and this Bakhtiari rug has three Toranj with the brightest and most vivid of all nomadic rugs. The Bakhtiari tribe, who were formerly nomadic by nature, made their way to the Zagros region, southwest of Isfahan, around the turn of the 19th century. After they relocated here, both the quantity and quality of rugs produced rose dramatically. Today, this region is home to about 200 rug-weaving villages that produce some of the cutest rugs in the entire world. To the southeast of Isfahan, in Shahr-Kurd, is where the Bakhtiari weaving sector is currently centered.
The Pile material is 100% natural fine wool and the foundation is made of natural cotton.
