Hand-knotted Tabriz Vintage Mahi Rug, 8’x6’8″, Code:1250

This 50-year-old Tabriz rug is a beautiful example of the mahi design, with its allover pattern of delicate, shimmering motifs. It is very finely woven with an exceptionally high knot density, in wool and silk — the silk threads catch the light as you move around it, giving the surface a subtle glow that photos can hardly capture.

The field glows in a very special madder tone — a distinctive, hard-to-find shade — anchored by a deep navy medallion and framed by a navy border of floral palmettes. A classic Tabriz palette that feels both rich and livable. At 8 feet by 6 feet 8 inches, it’s a generous size for a living room or dining room.

As with all our vintage pieces, it has been professionally washed and fully serviced before shipment and import. It is one of a kind — when it’s gone, it’s gone.
