Product Details
Sarab, located in northwestern Iran in Azerbaijan, is known for producing high-quality rug runners and doormat-sized rugs. Historically, the region, which includes Sarab and the surrounding areas of Heriz, Ahar, and Gorevan, was known as the Khanate of Sarab before 1813. The width of the rug runners is limited to just under 4 feet due to the use of traditional looms that are smaller in size for transportation purposes. Sarab rugs are made using a combination of Persian and Turkish knots, and have a higher quality than most rug runners, with knot counts ranging from 80 to 100 per square inch.
The Pile material is 100% natural fine wool and the foundation is made of natural cotton.
