Product Details
An antique Shiraz runner, more than 50 years old, with the tribal motifs the region is known for: angular nightingale birds — a Shiraz signature, said to stand for pleasure and contentment — and Cyrus’ white horse knotted into the design. The colors have stayed remarkably alive after all these years.
Geometric tribal shapes in the Qashqai and Khamseh spirit fill the field, knotted with the coarser tribal knot that gives Shiraz rugs their texture. At 5’5″ x 2’4″, it’s a compact runner for an entryway, a kitchen galley, or a bedroom wall.
Hand-knotted in 100% natural wool. One of a kind.
